Curriculum Support

Supporting Teachers and Pupils

At the core of the services we offer to schools is the delivery and enhancement of the National Curriculum for PE including creative development. The programmes we offer are Premier Sport, Premier Performing Arts, The Golden Mile and Premier Transition; and our team of qualified professionals who deliver them work in partnership and alongside schools to help them achieve their objectives.

Innovative initiatives like the Inspire Programme, which works in close partnership with schools, finds the best way to inspire children and to provide them with opportunities to learn and achieve. With the help of our senior education advisors, we supply structured lesson plans with specific learning outcomes that address all sporting and physical activity areas.

We work flexibly with schools to help them achieve their goals and make a significant contribution in terms of values, ethos and standards. All professionals who deliver lessons within the curriculum will provide an individual child assessment of learning progress which schools can use as part of their reporting process.

Our reputation has been built on providing high quality, long-term solutions to curricular staffing needs in thousands of primary schools across the country long before Sport Premium funding was introduced. As our staff are specialists, you can be safe in the knowledge that your school is not just meeting government targets but setting itself up to surpass them. This represents an excellent return on investment for every school in which we work and offers a sustainable solution – with or without ring fenced funding – as hundreds of our long term school partners will testify.

Outstanding Ofsted report

Daniel Garrod, an activity professional for Premier Sport was recently observed by Ofsted at Southover CofE Primary School in Lewes, East Sussex. Ofsted's feedback on Daniel's session was fantastic with the overall assessment scoring 'Outstanding' .

Head teacher, Steve Elliott gave special praise to Premier Sport by saying:

"I am delighted that Dan Garrod's games lesson was judged to be 'outstanding' by the Ofsted lead inspector. This was significant for us as some of our 'PE and Sport' Premium goes towards the purchase of Premier Sport's delivery. The use of the funding was a particular focus for the inspection."

"The support Premier Sport has provided over the past few years has been outstanding. Particular features of Premier Sport's provision are the sustained quality of the coaches provided as Premier Sport have always replaced one outstanding coach with another; excellent communication between Premier Sport, the coaches and the school; the flexibility and adaptability of the coaches; the standard of staff training/subject knowledge/safeguarding; and the quality of coaches' planning and value for money."

"We look forward to continuing this successful partnership in the future."
